CMD Style Case, Commodore 1581 3.5" Disk Drive PC Style.  There are 3 options.  You can get the drive with, a Barrel Power Supply, with the original 4-pin DIN Power connecter (power supply Not Included) and your can chose to purchase the case only and make your own.  Swap your internals or start a new build project. Newly built by ToTs RETRO with all New Components and New Old Stock Original Parts,   with 1581 DOS ROM, WD 1770 controller, 8k Ram, Rockwell 6502 CPU  processor running at 2mhz or More (commodore 1581 can only utilize max 2 MHz)and the Commodore MOS 8520A chip or new reDIP MOS 8520 depending upon availability of chips. All chips are tested 100% and socketed.

About the power supply: 9v 1 amp switching wall wart rated for US or other countries that use 110-120volt systems. Same power supply I use for CMD FD Series Floppy Drives and CMD's RamLink. These products are also available here (sold seperately)

There are 3 options to chose from:

Option 1: with AC Adapter Power Supply

Option 2: Without power supply 4-PIN DIN, you supply the power adapter

Option 3: 3D Printed Case/Labels ONLY OPTION. The Case Only Option includes, the case, drive labels Front and rear, brass heat sets, screws and necessary washers to build your own unit.

All options do not include any serial Cable(s), you must supply your own.

 Warranty covers all components inside the disk drive. Does not cover damage from falling, dropping, water or flooding, improper use or over voltage from poor PSU.  I recommend you use a new verified 1541-ll or 1581 power supply, or one that is known working good if purchasing the 4-PIN DIN Model.  All components are  tested thoroughly and function as expected before they ship to you. The 1581 Drive is ready for use out of the box.
