Welcome to ToTs RETRO, Yes your eyes do not deceive you! We are NOW, an official authorized vender for BlueSCSI, and I am excited to bring you these new products. Made right here in Phoenix, Arizona. Made by me.....just for you! Let's check out this exciting product.
Here is a very cool device. It is a modern, up to date SCSI replacement for your failing or about to fail Spinning platter of death. Upgrade and Backup your device on a new BlueSCSI v2 Device before your hard drive fails you (maybe it already has, I know first hand what that feels like). I first found this device when I noticed, my hard drive would not boot up sometimes. Occasionally working and sometimes nothing at all. I was fortunate to find the BlueSCSI v2 when I was looking for a replacement scsi drive. Man, they were so expensive, these original old drives, with no guarantee of how long it would last, a day, a month, a year. I just couldn't spend more money on something that was going to fail again. I had more dead scsi original drives, than I had Macs!! So I picked up a BlueSCSI v2 and I used the Initiator mode to make a copy of my hard drive and since then, I've never looked back.
This New SCSI Upgrade utilized state of the art Secure Digital Memory Cards (SD Card), to act as a solid state hard drive. No Moving parts, easy to backup, replace and swap out. When using a SD card, I recommend you get a card made for security surveillance systems, as these cards are designed to last a very long time and provide much more life for reads and writes. Here are the some Cards I recommend : Samsung ProEndurance v10 or v30 and/or SanDisk MaxEndurance v10 or v30 (not included).
I had my Mac Color Classic Mystic back and running and I didn't have to worry about it failing anytime soon. I was able to make multiple drive images with various systems, System 7.1, System 7.5, 7.6 and 8.1 all on the same SD Card.
I was even able to get file transferring with the BlueSCSI Toolbox. Super Easy file transfers. Download from your newest PC or Mac and Install into your Sharing Folder, boot up your make and simply transfer to your hard drive. Simple, Easy, Great Program and Feature.
I even, was able to connect to the Internet with the Internal WiFi Feature that comes included in the New v2. I was amazed! I mean, How feakin cool is that? I write this to you, not as a salesperson, but as a believer and Mac User Myself. When you purchase from me, your purchasing from someone who loves Retro Computers, Macs and Commodores are my go to's for Retro Computing.
Little tidbit fact that's completely random and serves no purpose other than just to know me a little bit, my favorite games for Commodore was Battletech Crescent Hawk Inception. Great game. It's Nice on the Commodore, better on the Amiga and PC. My favorite Mac game is Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego. I play this with my little 6 year old, what a great way to learn about the world. It's relevant even today! All right, enough about me and back to the BlueSCSI v2.
