Axial and Tantalum Capacitor Replacements for your Retro Macs. When replacing Tantalum capacitors the Black Line on the Yellow Tantalum Capacitor is the positive side. Important: Place the Black Line side over the Positive side of the Surface Mount Capacitor Pads. For Axial Capacitors, they are marked with a Band with An Arrow pointing toward the Negative Terminal

Installing in reverse can cause damage to your Computer, blown chips or even a fire. If your not comfortable performing the task, please, leave it to Professionals. For those Brave enough to venture forward, please read on....

These kits includes the exact amount of Axial and Tantalum Capacitors necessary to recap your logic board. Each Kit Varies. You must provide your own tools and equipment to perform the task.

I do not include soldering instructions or board instruction, some knowledge is required to perform this job, do some research before tackling the task. Make a map (take pictures) of the Caps that you remove, it's values and where they went. This will help you in remembering where they go. Take your time, do not force the caps off or on. Clean the mount pads. Be gentle to your Retro Mac and lets make it last another 30 years.
